Growth on and off the green: SYLP presents at the June 2025 Congaree Global Golf Initiative

Siegfried Youth Leadership Program® (SYLP) hit the road this summer, travelling to South Carolina to participate in the Congaree Global Golf Initiative’s (CGGI) June 2025 Junior Camp. Siegfried professionals and Leadership Advisors Kristin Duncan, Jeff Osberg, and Kevin Foley presented to 56 ambitious and passionate junior golfers, focusing on growth concepts at the center of what it means to be a great student athlete and strong individual leader.

SYLP’s session encouraged CGGI’s aspiring young leaders to think beyond golf and grow in their identities as leaders and individuals, no matter what the stat book reads. Kristin, Jeff, and Kevin prompted the junior golfers to consider their goals and dreams, character ethic, and mindset – and how these concepts work together in the pursuit of success. They additionally shared their personal golf journeys and how they’ve called upon life-long lessons from the game, on and off the course.

“The junior golfers were respectful, attentive, and inspiring. They were vulnerable, diving into self-reflection in the pursuit of their dreams and showcasing the commitment and courage at the heart of SYLP,” reflected Jeff Osberg, Senior Vice President, National Markets & Sales Team. “Their bigger futures are bright.”

In addition to Siegfried’s live presentation, SYLP hosted a virtual session for CGGI’s international cohort.

SYLP is an ambassador of the Congaree mission to provide underserved and well-deserving high school students who aspire to play collegiate golf with access to the athletic coaching, academic tools, and connection-building required to support and enhance their success.

“It was amazing to see the synergies between CGGI and SYLP’s higher purpose. The program truly transforms young junior golfers into better leaders to exponentially improve their lives,” said Kevin Foley, Associate Director. “As a former junior golfer, I am thrilled to have played a small part in that transformation.”
